One Day For Good

One Day for Good is an idea. It came into being when my writer, Nick Liebeskind, and I were lamenting the fact that, while advertising is a pretty great job in general, most of the time what we do isn’t truly meaningful. So we looked into volunteering for a charitable organization, but what we found was that they really need volunteers during the workweek, not the weekend as we were planning. Now came the tough question, were we willing to give up a precious vacation day to do good in the world? Or was there another way?

The website is divided into two sections. For employers who are looking to implement the program, and for employees who want to get the program implemented at their job.

We’ve got sign-up forms and sample press releases. We’ve got petitions and “a One Day for Good company” logos that can be added onto job listings as a recruitment tool. We’re pretty much ready to go live, but we’re really looking for an agency to partner with so that we can expand the voice and give a great PR boost to our first partner.
